Menswear Fashion Trends 2013 - Blogging Reference: Guerreisms

See Guerreisms for yourself: http://guerreisms.com/tagged/men

So what are some emerging trends? We can see that silk has been coming back into men's tailored suits and evening wear. Contrasting bright pants with jacket, a nod to Lino Ieluzzi of Al Bazaar, is definitely in. Although some of these cats are taking it to a whole new level in terms of colour and vivacity. Definitely the bright printed pocket square in a blob shape is a great look. Adorning your lapel with small little knick knacks, whilst not me, is very cool on the right chap. You just need to do it well and not over do it. A great example is the one I posted below with a small bow. The vest is totally in at the moment. In fact, some guys are wearing vests in lieu of sweaters this winter. For some they will say  "I never stopped wearing vests" - true! - but not these vests. Many of these vests are in tweed checks and are of a 'vintage' inclination, paired with a luxurious hand made tie, however, they are paired with non-tweed trousers and jackets in many cases. One thing I don't understand though, is pairing glen check with jeans. And I still don't understand brown. For some reason brown and I have never been the best of friends.

This guy deserves to be a Marvel comic hero. I love this look. It is so smooth.
Bright pants with muted jacket, big bright pocket square. You win!

Small accoutrements for the lapel if you don't want to do anything else.

Solid red tie, check jacket in reds and blues, orange pants, red sweater, light blue shirt.... Colour yourself silly. But this works and it looks cool with a k. kool.

Vests are in. I don't like the khaki and the brown, but vests are in as an alternative to knitwear. But! Beware being rotund with a vest, it can make you look silly. I am about to try my first vest and I must say, I am very nervous. They are not for just anyone.
