From My Informant Carlos Oppenheimer

Carlos Oppenheimer, a pseudonym for my dear informant, is named after the infamous terrorist 'The Jackal' and derives his surname from his ethnic roots; loves to feed me stuff he finds on blogs across the globe. This week I have to give him credit for introducing me to Permanent Style, a blog similar to A Suitable Wardrobe but with a wider ambit. It is written by an Englishman named Simon Crompton. Some of the links I liked:

A Cifonelli Velvet Smoking Jacket in Purple Velvet with unusual frogging clasp and piping. The traditional cuffs on this jacket are now being used by Tom Ford in his latest collection of smoking jackets available in Harrolds Centrepoint.
