  1. With all my respect, the smoking is not correct for a weeding. The correct, ever, is the 'chaqué' (in spanish, I don't know the english word for 'chaqué').

  2. If you are referring to a day wedding, then you are correct. The English call it morning dress. Black tie was for 'After Six', but regardless, this was an evening wedding with a day ceremony and respectfully, I think that the world has changed significantly enough that if someone chose black tie for a day/night wedding, I don't believe he would be committing a great faux pas.
