I have had this conversation before with my Franco-Americain friend Adriana - 'Was Claude Francois gay?" and the answer from her was "No way! He was a serial womaniser", but c'mon, you French are so obsessed with this guy that you can't see what was right in front of you. Regardless, one of the most enjoyable things I ever witnessed was two French girls that had moved into my apartment and when I mentioned the song they put it on and were in tight little shorts, the ones where the curve of the bottom spills out, and they went ahead to emulate the dance moves of this French Anthem and I was delighted to watch.
