Richard Carroll, who signs his work Dick Carroll, is the Sydney illustrator we used to knock us out a how to tie a bow tie instruction card last year which had a kind of laconic Sir Les Patterson /Bob Hawke feel to it.
Richard is now in New York pursuing illustration and comic art as a permanent career path and whilst he was there I offered him, if he had any free time, some side work producing how to tie illustrations for us for tie knots. He is near finishing two of them and from New York this morning I got the first hint.
