Mick Jaggger's Dinner Jacket - both quilted silk in aqua green and black satin shawl lapel, shows that the old dog still has new tricks.
Classically, the quilting would have been on the shawl, not the other way around. The funny thing about quilting in silk is that not too many people do it. I was pushing a local Sydney tailor to try and quilt a jacket for me 12 months ago. He managed to finish the quilting process but once he tried to press the jacket it ruined the desired affect. I would love to know more about how quilting gets done, so if you have any information please don't be afraid to share it.

I want exactly this style of jacket, but with frogged button and velvet trimming, either in vidid red or old gold silk. Did you get any better info on maintenance of the quilting since February??

I can make you this jacket Taras - in Italy - I would need your measurements. Please send me an email directly on bow@lenoeudpapillon.com . Many thanks, Nicholas.
ReplyDeleteHi! I also love this jacket. Just wondering what would it cost for you to make me this kind of jacket? I'm roughly a size 40 (US).
ReplyDeleteThanks so much.
