At the aforementioned conference in Istanbul, I shared with an Australian gentleman sitting next to me that I was wearing a tie from Australia. The conversation went a bit as follows:
AG - "Oh, is it from Le Noeud Papillon?" (What I actually heard - "O, t'is it L'newd pappy-yawn?" He later admitted to being a transplanted Englishman)
Me - "Yes, it is. Do you know them?"
AG (laughing) - "Heavens, no! They're too expensive, and no one in Australia wears ties anyway."
Me (thinking) - "Pity. We've got work to do!"
The latest additions to my wardrobe from A Suitable Wardrobe and Le Noeud Papillon. I should mention Mrs. R's favorite is the navy one with white dots.

**** NB: I don't know who this customer is but he certainly has a lush collection of our bow ties. Good to know.
