We are continually developing new silks and acquiring existing fabrics from the looms that are either interesting in terms of construction or else they have some exotic grain or weave which we just can't resist working with. At the moment, our fatted grosgrains remain unique for anywhere in the world, as to our work in silk and lurex, having just completed a wonderful silk design with reference to Japanese koi. Then two weeks ago we sourced some exceptional wool melanges featuring lurex in their construction, which, ordinarily you might see in a ladies jacket, but which make for very interesting bow ties with a touch of femininity.
